Miss Tracy

Skye and Bray have taken swimming lessons the past 2 summers, but this year Cami got to participate as well. We went with a new teacher, who we LOVED, Miss Tracy! She teaches lessons at her house for a few weeks each summer. She loves teaching and it shows, she is absolutely amazing with the kids! I didn't think Cami would go for this at all, but after the inital crying on the 1st day, she loved it. She even came out the 2nd day in Miss Tracy's arms and didn't even reach for me. She kept saying "sim, Tacy". She wanted to "swim with Tracy". She is still talking about Miss Tracy now, almost a month after lessons are over!

The lessons were for 30 min. everyday for 2 weeks, but the 1st week, we had thunder a few days, so we missed 2 lessons and then we missed Fri. to go to Michigan for MB4. So overall, they only got about a week and half, but they had a ball. Skyelar really came a long way this summer in overcoming nerves and being able to go under water. She was pretty excited for herself.

Bray wasn't nervous at all, she loved going everyday, she just did what she wanted at her own pace. They each had their own teachers, so it was like private lessons. We'll definitely do it again next year. I wish we could continue into the fall. I think the only way to really learn how to swim is just to have more time in the water.
