MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Dear Skye, Bray & Cami,

We had such a fun Christmas this year. We were in a rental house with not too much of our own stuff, but we bought and borrowed things here and there and we ended up with a nicely decorated house. Y'all really wanted lights outside the house, but we said that we would go all out next year! We didn't have any of our own ornaments for our tree, so we just did lights, but by the time Christmas was here you had cut and decorated so many ornaments for our tree, that it was almost full! Y'all made a few at school and then got into coloring characters from your coloring books, cutting them out and even figured out how to put string through the tops of them to hang on the tree:) Those were my favorite.

Skye & Bray, I think you really understood that Christmas was the celebration of Jesus's birthday this year. Aunt Carol gave us a beautiful nativity set at Thanksgiving and we got it out at the begining of Dec. and we read the story of Joseph and Mary and Jesus. Cami, you loved playing with baby Jesus and he was always missing from his manger!

Bray, you decided about a month before Christmas that you wanted a bunny (stuffed) and earings, so then Cami, you wanted a bunny too. Skye, you just wanted new earings.

On Christmas Eve Eve, y'all helped me cut out and decorate cookies for Santa (and for us!). We iced them and sprinkled them and made a snowman family that resembled ours to leave for Santa.

On Christmas Eve, we let you open a gift and then Daddy took you outside to sprinkle your reindeer food (that you had made at school). It had lots of glitter in it so that Rudolph would be able to find our house easier.

Daddy and I had to wake you up on Christmas morning b/c we needed to get going so we could be on the road to Mimi and Poppa's house by 10. Skye, you woke up very easily and jumped out of bed, Bray a little slower, but then got pretty excited. And Cami you sat right up and said "Santa came?" Y'all were so excited to go downstairs and see if he left you some goodies.

Out of all the gifts, I think your spinning toothbrushes were your favorites! Skye and Bray, you really liked your new earings and couldn't wait to try them on. It was such a fun Christmas morning for Mommy and Daddy too:) We loved watching you get so excited. I love you to the moon and back, my sweet angels.
