Bugs, Bats & Beaver

On Friday night we went on a two mile, 2 hour night hike to look at bugs, bats and beaver habitats. We went with a group from the Genesee Country Nature Center and the guide was very good.
We saw some neat things:
Deer running through the meadow, some bird nests and their eggs, a few bats flying around, a tent caterpillar nest, a toad, and we heard a catbird "meow". It was a nice night and we had fun doing something a little different. The girls weren't the least bit tired after 2 hours, but Mommy and Daddy got to carry Cami the whole trip, so we were:( We meant to bring the backpack for her to ride in and forgot it, oops.
